The new House Leaders have been enthusiastically encouraging their Houses to participate in the House Challenges. This week saw the final results of the first House Challenge – The Distance Challenge – where students form all year groups (and staff) were asked to track the number of km they walked or ran in a week. The weather was gorgeous and students and staff achieved amazing distances with the top three results being:
Special mention must go to Adelewa O in Year 8 (Britons) and Jaime B in Year 7 (Romans) who logged the top distances of 100km each! The House Leaders also shared some inspirational photos and videos of their own to keep everyone motivated!
The second House Challenge – The Photography Challenge – has just closed and House Leaders have the task for sorting through the beautiful photographs and choosing the best three in each House. These will be awarded House Points and will be shown in the News and Blog next week.
Please do encourage your daughter/son to check her/his House Classroom regularly and to get involved. We are famed at MGGS for our community spirit, and although we cannot enjoy our usual summer term together, we are very keen to stay in touch! The House Classrooms are alive with activity and a great way to build relationships across the year groups while we are working from home.
