This has been a very challenging term for us all and we have been so impressed by how well Year 13 have engaged with their lessons and in form activities. Attendance at live lessons has been very high and students are actively involved in form time times. I have loved joining in with the form discussions which have ranged from sharing everyone’s favourite jokes to very supportive conversations about topics such as ‘what one thing would we change about ourselves?’ and ‘What are we afraid of?’

Many of our Year 13s have been getting offers from their chosen universities which has also really helped to motivate them to work hard. We know that the future is currently still very uncertain, but we are very proud of the resilience shown by this group of young people who have had such a challenging A-Level experience.

I have encouraged Year 13 to take some time this half term to make sure they are looking after their physical and mental health and have also encouraged them to find activities to do to relax away from a screen. They definitely deserve some downtime and we hope that they return rested and ready for term 4. Have a safe and restful half term.
