It has been so good to see all the extra curricular opportunities starting up again for students in school. I would encourage students to make the most of what is on offer. 

We have been pleased to welcome a large number of visitors to our Open Morning this week and are anticipating many more families here, over the next week or so. We have had a number of different visitors in school this week and many have reflected on how engaged students have been in lessons, how well they are working, how much they enjoy being in school and love MGGS.  I have been hugely proud of our students this week and humbled to be Headteacher of this fantastic school.

Can I take this opportunity to remind you that all students need to be completing two lateral flow tests (LFT) per week. Results of these must be registered at https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result.  Regular testing will help ensure that we identify cases early and help reduce transmission.

 If a student has symptoms of Covid they should stay at home and get a PCR test, in addition to a LFT.  If you do have any questions regarding a student and Covid, please do contact the NHS on 119.  The School Office cannot provide medical advice.

 We are still required to report to the DfE on a daily basis the number of students who have received a positive PCR or positive LFT.  I should be grateful if you would send information regarding positive notifications to the school as soon as possible via attendance@mggs.org.  Your help is appreciated in this matter.
