Year 10 GCSE Food & Nutrition at MGGS
This week, students in our Year 10 Food & Nutrition class cooked a variety of mouth-watering dishes inspired by a range of cuisines and culinary traditions from around the world. The diverse range of dishes included butter chicken from India and bunny chow from South Africa alongside a selection of traditional family recipes from Russia to Mexico. Whilst cooking, students recounted personal stories of how their families use these recipes for events and special occasions, highlighting a real sense of connection to their chosen dishes. Students also researched and presented their findings on other areas of the cultural dishes including technical skills, eating habits and traditional food presentation techniques providing a fantastic opportunity to explore the cultural diversity within our school community and beyond.
Well done 10D for a fantastic end to the term!
