Our Beloved Magnolia Tree takes “Pride” of Place!
Our beloved Magnolia tree has had a little make-over by our Knit & Natter students.
The Magnolia tree, believed to have been planted for The Queen’s coronation, is looking full of “Pride”.
Over the last few months students in Year 8 and Year 9 have been making ‘finger knitted’ decorations while enjoying a safe space to explore diversity issues.
The result, thanks to Mrs Jenkins, Miss Pizzy and Ms Wood’s guidance and expertise, is for everyone to enjoy next to Student reception – a fabulous way to end June, the month that focuses on raising awareness about LGBTQ+.
