International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On Monday, 3rd December 2024, Maidstone Grammar School for Girls marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a series of activities organised by our Diversity Ambassadors. During AM registration, students participated in a Research Quiz to raise awareness and deepen understanding of the challenges and achievements of individuals with disabilities.

At lunchtime on both Tuesday, 3rd December, and Thursday, 5th December, students were invited to join a finger-painting activity in the Small Hall. This creative session aimed to foster inclusivity and celebrate the unique talents within our community.

Looking ahead, the school’s first Student Forum on ‘Visible and Hidden Disabilities’ is scheduled for Thursday, 12th December, in the Main Hall at 12.45pm. This promises to be a meaningful discussion, offering students a platform to share perspectives and learn about the diverse experiences of their peers.

Thank you to the Diversity Ambassadors for organising these impactful events and to everyone who participated in celebrating the value of inclusivity.
