This week, BAE Systems, Rochester inspired our Year 8 students to pursue Engineering careers with their two-day workshop on STEAM in a Box. In this hands-on activity, each team of students assembled a small prototype for a car, produced the code to control the speed of this vehicle using a Micro:bit and then raced the car against other teams using a remote control. 

They also learnt about the nature of work in BAE Systems and paths to pursue a career in STEM.
