In the penultimate week of measurements of the rocket plants, we were asked to measure the height and find the mean number of leaves for 5 random plants per tray.
The red seeds have slightly more leaves on average, the most being 8 leaves on a plant. The accolade of tallest plant is currently held by one of the plants from the blue seeds at an incredible 13.6cm, but the next three tallest spots are all occupied by plants from red seeds.
With only one week to go we need to make our predictions and decide which packet (red or blue) we believe went into space! We will then send our results to the Royal Horticultural Society and await their report.
Many thanks again to the students who have helped to take and record the data.
