Last week, all Year 7 pupils participated in the Art Department’s annual Hat Parade.  Students were set a theme of “Architecture” and had to create a headpiece that somehow reflected this theme.  They had three weeks to put their creative skills to the test before showing off their imaginative creations in a special assembly.  There were some absolutely fantastic headpieces produced this year.

Highly commended for “interpretation of the theme” were: Josie S, Leah R, Fern C and Jasmine N.  Overall winner for “interpretation of the theme” of architecture went to Jocelyn M.  Highly commended for “creative use of materials” were: Emily C, Kayleigh B, Melony H, Mei Lin R and Evelyn M. Overall winner for the creative use of materials was Isadora W.

The toughest decision of all was to choose one overall winner.  We chose the piece due to its creativity and execution; small intricate details had been well considered. This prize was awarded to Emmy G.

A huge well done to Year 7; an amazing visual spectacular as always.
