On Monday 4th February, our U15 basketball team competed in the Kent Schools Tournament at Medway Park. The games were tough; some opposition appeared to be confused as to whether they were playing basketball or rugby! The team persevered and found themselves in the final against Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School who took an early lead by scoring a basket in open play. MGGS was then awarded two free throws when Charlotte W was fouled in the act of shooting. This took the score to 1-2. Despite some excellent attacking play the score finished 1-2, seeing the team finish a commendable 2nd place and receiving silver medals. What an amazing achievement!
