Year 9 Fashion Students
Year 9 Fashion students at MGGS are currently studying the concept of pattern manipulation. They have explored both standard and complex dart repositioning techniques using a basic bodice block as a guide. They have also experimented with a number of pleating methods to develop their understanding of the garment alteration processes. Students have been using paper instead of fabric and have found it fascinating to see how almost any paper technique can be replicated onto fabric. They have loved seeing their Textiles skills continue to develop and have learnt a number of valuable skills as a result.
Well done Year 9!
