Year 7 team building day took place this week on Wednesday, 18th September, the Year 7 students of MGGS enjoyed a fantastic Team Building Day provided by ‘The Problem Solving Company’ under sunny skies. The fine weather perfectly complemented the range of exciting and engaging activities that aimed to foster new friendships and teamwork among our newest students.

Throughout the day, students took part in a variety of challenges designed to develop communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. From outdoor obstacle courses to creative team puzzles, each task encouraged the students to work together and support one another. A particularly popular activity was ‘Stepping Stones, where students showcased their enthusiasm and determination.

Feedback from the students highlighted the fun and camaraderie that defined the day. Many expressed how the event helped them bond with classmates and feel more connected to their peers. 

“I loved MGGS team building day, even if we came last, we still had fun. It was a great opportunity to learn more about each other, and put our Communication, Co-operation, and Listening skills to the test. I most enjoyed Global Warming, because it was a game of careful thinking.” Yuna A

“I really enjoyed all the fun activities we explored yesterday. The best part of it all is that we got to make loads of new friends throughout the day.” Sophia A

“I enjoyed the toxic waste game the most because it was very interactive and everyone had a part to do. I also like the maze game, that was so much fun as well we managed to do all of the stages!” Tilly F

“Team building day was huge fun. It really helped me to work in teams with other people. I made lots of new friends but it also helped me strengthen  friendships with others. It was a great experience and I’d gladly do it again.” Emme P

Overall, the Team Building Day was a fantastic success, with students developing new friendships, strengthened confidence, and a deeper sense of community. We look forward to seeing how the skills they developed continue to grow throughout the year!
